Mission Statement

Here are a couple of things that visitors should know about our reviews:

First and foremost: We don't do negative reviews.

Any restaurant we review is here because we think it's worthy of your patronage. If we try a restaurant and don't like it, we simply will not post about it. The way we see it is, why waste time talking about restaurants that are not up to par? Our goal is to highlight the many great eateries in the Austin area, and to create a resource for anyone who lives here or will be visiting the Austin area to find some of these great places and get a real sample of Austin's atmosphere.

Second, all restaurants reviewed will be scored on what we call the "Lone Star" rating system. All restaurants will receive 1-5 points or arms of the Lone Star. Please bear in mind that every restaurant listed on our site is recommended, so if a place scores even a single point, we feel it's worth a visit.
